Disbound pamphlet. 56 pp. A lengthy government document containing many reports from territories and states in the US west claiming illegal use and appropriation of public lands. Letters from various agents are reprinted, from states and territories including Washington, Dakota, Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Colorado and others. Many of these letters make specific mentions of the various infractions, including cattle grazing, illegal posting of fences, homesteading and other seizures of land. In these letters, names of the various alleged perpetrators are given, including a lengthy list from New Mexico of those who claimed property, also giving the coordinates of their land. In FAIR/GOOD condition. Pamphlet split in half along the binding at pages 32/33. An oval historical society stamp on one page in the interior. Binding holes present along the spine, with some creasing. Minor darkening.
