Die schönen Kupferstiche stammen von Charles Eisen (1720-1778). - Ecken und Kapitale bestoßen, der Ledereinband mit Abreibungen, die ersten Seiten mit ein paar unbedeutenden Stockflecken, sonst sehr schöne und -im Erstdruck- seltene Ausgabe.

Il discorso preliminare al poema didascalico è un vero e proprio trattato sull'arte della recitazione e della declamazione dei versi, con un excursus storico sull'arte e sulla tacnica della recitazione che iniziando con l'antica grecia toccò il suo splendore massimo con la rinascita del teatro e di tutte le arti con Luigi XIV e Corneille, per poi declinare. Legatura in piena pelle coeva con fregi e titolo dorati al dorso, tagli in rosso.
