Book First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Tommy Holmes was a Sports Columnist for the Brooklyn Eagle when he wrote this book. in his introduction Red Barber wrote "This book has the swift motion needed to recapture the days and daze and nights of the Dodger saga." Has a great, illustrated front Dust Jacket by Piero. of a very large Dodger riding a small donkey. The rear cover of the Dust Jacket has a large Dodger stumbling over 16 baseballs. The book has the normal browning of pages, otherwise is in very good condition. Has gray boards with red lettering on the spine. The Dust Jacket has small chips and tears (is now in a mylar protector) and is in good condition, still has bright colors. One of the most difficult books on the Dodgers to find. I have more than 300 baseball team histories, around 190 books by and about sportswriters and over 50 Dodger publications in stock. Discounts are available when you purchase multiple items on the same order.
