Hardcover. Condition: VG+. Limited Edition. An amazing and beautiful work. This copy is 1 of 175 bound in dark brown full mottled calf. The front cover displays a sculpted image of a gravestone rubbing recessed into the leather. Included is one original gravestone rubbings taken directly from the Pompey Breton marker, Newport, Rhode Island, along with two selenium-toned silver prints processed signed and numbered by Ann Parker. All enclosed in the original box. The prints and book are in near perfect condition, the book showing just a touch of foxing at the edges and a bit foxing just to the mats around the photos, not the images themselves. The book contains forty-two rubbings taken directly from the stones by the authors, reproduced on Ticonderoga text paper, along with photos of the stones and text detailing the history. Interesting as bookbinding, as artwork, and as history. Scarce. ; Folio 13" - 23" tal; 114 pages; RBGLASS.
