Brown paper over boards, with a decorative design in black and red printed on it. Title and copyright pages dated 1970. 234 pages. Very good condition. Three droplet-shaped, translucent spots on shellback, near foot of spine. Spine is very slightly sunned. Binding is square and tight, and pages are clean and free of markings, wrinkles, tears, or any other sort of damage. Slipcase is of brown paper over boards, printed with a decorative design in black and red on one side. It is in very good condition, exhibiting a couple of tears to its outward-facing edges, and a few small streaks and smudges. A limited edition of 1,950 copies, of which this is number 121; it is hand-numbered, in black ink, on the colophon page, and the illustrator signs there in black ink as well. Illustrated with 66 wood engravings by Gillian Lewis Tyler, printed in either black or red. This is an oversized (and overweight) book.
