Condition: Good. 1941. Reprinted. 192 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Red cloth covered boards. Black and white illustrations throughout. Black and white portrait frontispiece. Pages and binding are presentable with no major defects. Minor issues present such as mild cracking, inscriptions, inserts, light foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Boards have heavy shelf wear with bumping and fraying to corners and crushing and fraying to spine ends. All surfaces tanned and sunned, particularly spine. Gilt lettering is dulled.

The book has been rebound. 184 pp. with 11 colour plates with tissue guards tipped in. The book is in good condition with minor shelf-wear to the extremities of the cover, extensive light marking of the boards and the trace of a library number to the tail of the spine. The binding of the front matter has been reinforced, as have occasional pages throughout the book. There are minor marks to the reverse of the ffep, fly leaf, reverse of the frontispiece, to the title page and occasionally scattered throughout the book. Some of the tissue guards are creased and one is loose, one page has a corner missing and another is creased. The illustrations are bright and clean.
