Pages are moderately tanned with noticeable foxing throughout. Cracks to hinges, causing boards to be loose. Plate facing page 136 is loose, joined only to top edge. Prize plate remnants to front pastedown. Plates are bright and clear, with some light tanning and foxing to edges. Binding throughout remains firm, with some tears to bottom edge of some pages. Front free endpaper removed. Noticeable brown stains with thumb-marking throughout. Text is not affected. Boards have visible edge wear with corner bumping. Moderate tanning to spine and edges with some crushing to spine ends. Gilt lettering is darkened. Small splits with fraying to joints. Some black marks overall. Book has a slight forward lean.
