Condition: Fair. Sixth Edition. 399 pages. No dust jacket. Green cloth with gilt lettering. Pages are mildly tanned with visible foxing. Mild cracking to gutters, however binding remains firm. Pencil scribbles to front endpaper and contents page. Moderate tanning to endpapers. Boards have light edgewear with corner crushing and notable marking to boards. Moderate tanning to board edges and heavy to spine, which has mild crushing to ends. Ring marks and sticker to front board. Mild water stains and droplets to rear board. Book has forward lean.

Condition: Very Good. 399p, bevelled boards, a very good plus hardback (original brown blind-stamped cloth, the upper cover lettered and, to a tiny extent, decorated in gilt), spine slightly sunned - but area behind gilt lettering has been stained dark brown in imitation of a morocco label, thus making the spine title much more clearly legible, undated copy.
