First Edition
Full Decorated Morocco. Condition: Near Fine. First Limited Edition. No. 427 of 1,100 on Pur Fil Lafuma. 8vo. xiv, 363, [4] pp. With four "farces" rendered in old and modern French. Three of the farces are presented as theater works, and the fourth, as a narrative poem. Introduction places these works in context, making the point that our perception of the works as farce may not have been the original understanding or intent of the works. Spine a bit sunned and scuffed. Otherwise, highly decorative and unusual. Clean and pristine within. Marbled slipcase is in wonderful shape.
