Cloth. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. The Fifty Days covers June 18 to August 8, 1815; this period from Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo to the day of his final departure into exile on St. Helena is one of the least familiar chapters of his career. This interesting story covers this period. It contains 136 indexed pages followed by a bibliography. In the front is a Foreword by Felix Markham and an Introduction by the author. In the center of the book are eight pages of b/w photos, portraits, drawings, and the copy of a letter written by Napoleon. This was previously a library book but the condition is very good. There are some old tape marks on the book but the pages are clean and free of tears. The binding is tight. The DJ is enclosed in a clear plastic sleeve.
