Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Good Plus. Photographs by David Strick (illustrator). 1st Edition. In English and Spanish. If you are looking for a copy of this book and the following attributes are important to you then you may want to buy this one. These attributes are 1) a Stated First Edition, 2) NOT ex-library, 3) the book itself in excellent condition, and 4) the presence of a dust jacket (with the price present). All four are the case here. You can take a look at the photographs to see the covers of the book. They look terrific. No soiling and little to no wear. Note also that this book is very solidly bound, absolutely no issues in that regard. Opening up the book, it's more good news: the pages are exceptionally clean, including the inside covers and end papers. In fact I don't even see one spot of soiling. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. There aren't any markings or attachments, and I don't see any creasing or dogeared corners. Pretty much close to, or in fact, perfect. I've had this book in a protective cover for as long as I've owned it, quite a number of years. You can see the jacket in the first three photographs. You should be able to see the tears off the middle of the front top edge and the loss of a little color there. There is also a small tear off the front bottom edge. The jacket is mostly clean. You can see a couple of light speck-sized spots. The spine looks very good with just a little crinkling at the bottom. And the rear is in nice shape. The front flap is clipped at the top but doesn't reach the price (hard then to understand why they bothered to clip it) but it is a neat clip. The flaps are in excellent condition.
