The paper folio spine has a slight roughness at fold. Black portfolio very lightly sunned and mildly edgeworn. A nearly fine set. 12.25 x 13 portfolio of heavy black paper with pasted title label and diagonal cut pocket inside to hold facsimile sheets. The prints are intended to be facsimiles are are printed by offset lithography to reproduce the size and colors of the orignals. The colors are printed in flat areas, giving the images a freshness and immediacy that four-color printing from color photographs could never provide.

This is a rare edition of a sampler of plates from The Avant-Garde in Print. Leaf bound in the sprial wraps states: "This is a sampler of selected plates from 'The Avant-Garde in Print', a series of visual portfolios documenting the twentieth century design and typography. The five portfolios represented here, Futurism, Lissitzky, Dada, Typography/Master Designers in Print 1, and Typography/Master Designers in Print 2, each contain 10 color plates and six pages of text. Although only a few images are included here, the photographs and captions on each text sheet provide a complete listing of the contents of the portfolios."
