Paper. Condition: Good ++. First Thus. Reinhard Gehlen has lived (born 1902) a life full of secrecy. His military agent career began as a German Staff Officer, he created a spy systen in the Soviet Union and in the post war (he didn't go to prison) he associated himself with the C.I.A. `Herr Doktor Schneider' as he was respectfully known, advised Hitler on developments on the Russian front using a hand picked group of 4 intelligence gatherers, chief of which was Major Hermann Baun. `Schneider'/Gehlen turned espionage from a cloak and dagger affair into ` a cold, calculable science'. Cond: 274 pages of text in a black paper wrapper w/ subject's picture in frame on front. Copy clean and tight. General wear at ALL corners and edges.
