One stain is darker, but it is very small. The largest stain measures 1/2 inch wide by 1 and 1/2 inches tall. The spine ends and corners of the covers are bumped. The spine and covers are also a bit faded. The dust jacket is in very good condition. Lightly abraded. There are several very thin scratches and thin light marks on the rear panel. The longest scratch measures 3 and 1/2 inches long. The inside flaps are yellowed, and the rear inside flap is creased. The jacket is still quite attractive. A. B. Guthrie, Jr. won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction for his novel The Way West in 1950. Signed by Guthrie on the dedication page.
