Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. First Printing - First Thus. 216 pp. Trade paperback format. Edge and corner wear with an uncreased spine; no interior markings. When the bandages came off, Parker looked in the mirror at a stranger. He had come in to the doctor with a face that the New York syndicate wanted to put a bullet in. Now he was going back out with a face that they were going to learn to fear. It cost him a lot. But it would be cheap at twice the price if it kept him alive while he did what he had to do. And what he had to do was steal. Because a new face couldn't keep Parker from his old life of crime and kicks.where money was there for the taking, and where nobody did it better than Parker. Size: 8vo. Book.

Book has a square, tight binding, scuffs, scratches, creases to both covers, price sticker top right front cover and wear to edges that are difficult to see in the scans. In New York there was a contract on his life. In Nebraska there was an unscrupulous plastic surgeon guarded by a punch-drunk fighter. And somewhere in New Jersey there was an armored car stuffed with money. In the middle of it all was Parker. Parker goes under the knife in The Man with the Getaway Face, changing his face to escape the mob and a contract on his life. Along the way he scores his biggest heist yet, but there's a catch?a beautiful, dangerous catch who goes by the name Alma. The book you see in the images is the actual book we have for sale. Comic First Edition
Stapled Pictorial Wraps. Condition: Good. Darwyn Cooke (illustrator). 1st Edition. One-shot book appears well read with heavy wear, chipping, and soiling at covers, edges and extremities. This is a 'pre-print' of the beginning of the second 'comic-book' adaptation of the Parker series by Richard Stark (Donald E. Westlake), The Outfit. The adaptor, Darwyn Cooke, has condensed the actual 2nd book in the Parker series into a 24 page + covers graphic novella of a sort and it is quite stunning! Book is two-tone in black and gold and looks as if it could have actually been produced in the early 60's as that is when the action within takes place. Apparently this edition ceased printing upon publication of Cooke's adaptation of The Outfit in late 2010.
