Condition: Good. 1887. No Edition Remarks. 464 pages. No dust jacket. Decorative brown cloth. Contains black & white, illustrations and plates. Gilt text block edges. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout. Text is clear. Thumb-marking present. Binding is slightly shaky , however pages remain attached. Boards have mild edge-wear with bumping to corners. Book has a slight forward lean. Slight sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Gilt lettering remains bright & clear.

In good green decorated bevel edged cloth boards, with central multi-coloured title field with ornate titles to front; gilt tooled back strip. The covers are a little loose from damage to hinge, square, quite clean; corners and spine cloth ends bumped and frayed. The rear end papers are dark brown; with water marks to fore edges. The front end papers are off-white; water mark on fore edge of free end paper; yellow book plate to paste down. Gilt cut edges. The text block is marked around edges of most pages; a few pages have stains on tail edge. With attractive etchings. No inscriptions etc. Publsiher's catalogue to rear. Overall a good edition.

Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. Goldsmith's Choice Works comprising his Vicar of Wakefield, Poems and Plays William P. Nimmo This book is in Fair condition. Decorative green cloth. The corners have some heavy rubbing as well as the top and bottom spine ends. There appears to be a sign of a slight compositional separation in one spot of the gutters and the front end paper. All of the endsheets and flyleaf have age discoloration. The page edges are all gilt. The back cover has some kind of soiling. The pages are all tight and intact.

The title proper carries the same engraving. there are 7 full page engraved plates. In the original half red leather over contrasting red cloth. Gilt titled and decorated spine with raised bands. The edges and endpapers are superbly marbled. All pages have a simple red ruled border. There is slight rubbing of the leather over the raised bands. Slight foxing of the prelims. In all a very good copy of this fine edition.
