Tom Maschler's bookplate to the front pastedown. Maschler was the head of Jonathan Cape, who was one of the key figures in creating the Booker Prize in the 1960s. 'Growing up the Gorbals' is the autobiography of the Scottish psychologist and economist, Ralph Glasser. Glasser is known for being an advisor to developing countries. This was the first part of his autobiographical trilogy. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, near fine, with a small amount of bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Bookplate to the front pastedown.
