Para confirmar la perfidia de la mujer, los artistas de la época ofrecieron ominosas epresentaciones de ella, sin darse cuenta de que al mismo tiempo ponían de relieve su miedo y deseo. Para ratificar su denuncia incluso acudieron a imágenes religiosas que corroboraran la maldad innata del ser femenino.
