No Jacket. 511 pages; brown cloth boards with black spine and front titles; decorative brown endpapers; laid in are three items: an application for membership in the War Society of the 89th Division, an order form for the History of the 89th Division book, and a black & white photograph of Generals Foch and Pershing, all presumably contemporary with the book; black & white portrait frontispiece; numerous black & white photographs and maps, including four fold-out maps of battle areas with descriptions and a fold-out aerial photograph of the territory over which the 89th advanced in the St. Mihiel offensive; rubbing to extremities of boards, with bumped corners and various stray marks and other blemishes; softening to head and tail of spine, with cloth splitting up front side of spine, binding still holds; somewhat cocked and slightly shaken but still intact; edges discolored from age and soiling; interior uniformly and rather lightly age-toned, with scattered mild foxing; a very good copy; a thorough history of one division's origins and exploits during and after the Great War.
