Printed Sheet. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. Menu, dated April 8, 1944. INSCRIBED on the front cover by actor Robert Stack who, in a note of provenance from the inscribee, was then a Lt. in the Navy. He is noted to have been dancing with the lady vocalist in the hotel club that evening. The menu is folded, and has some remnants from having been removed from an autograph book on back cover, otherwise near fine. Small photo image of actor Stack tipped beside his inscription. (The inscribee's husband, a pilot stationed in Memphis, has also inscribed the front cover, as have two other individuals. Includes inscribee's typed note of provenance. Apart from the early & superb example of Stack's signature, the menu from one of America's grandest hotels is a delightful time capsule.
