A Fine copy. An autobiographical account by William S. Thomas in which he retells some of his personal experiences hunting big game, including bighorn sheep, a grizzly bear, and caribou, and hunting in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. In the last chapter, Thomas writes about his wildlife photography excursions and makes parallels between hunting animals and taking photographs of them. He points out the similarities and differences between the two. For example, Thomas says the thrill of "shooting" an animal with a camera is similar to hunting it, but he considers taking photos of an animal to be more difficult than hunting and that it comes without the remorse of taking its life.
