Decorative Cloth. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Not Issued. First Thus. Brown cloth, lettered and elaborately decorated in gilt and black, bevelled edges, all text block edges in gilt. Moderate shelf/handling wear, rubbed and somewhat frayed at spine extremities, exposure to corners but only one a bit layered. Modest soiling to cloth and some surface scratches to rear cover. Front hinge starting but firm, rear hinge intact. Tear to tissue guard over frontis. engraving, crease and short closed tear to rear flyleaf with approx. 10% loss (top corner) to adjacent rear blank, interior otherwise intact. Binding firm, though several fore-edges do project beyond the block a bit. xxxii,464,72,ii,vi pp., illus. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Book.
