Decorative Cloth. Condition: Very Good -. Dust Jacket Condition: No Jacket As Issued. Volume Eight of a Set. This 6" X 9", 512-page, nearly 100-year-old offering in VG- condition is The Vailima Edition of the Works of Robert Louis Stevenson: Volume Eight by Robert Louis Stevenson, published by P.F. Collier & Son in 1912. Not an ex-library copy, at age 99 this offering is looking quite chipper/firm/sound. There is the understandable modest yellowing of volume's pages, and some webbing is seen between pages 240-241 within text. This eighth volume from the nine-volume 1912 Vailima Edition of Stevenson's collected literary output consists of "An Inland Voyage", "Travels With a Donkey in the Cevennes", "Edinburgh", some 22 essays(among them "The Modern Student Considered Generally", "The Philosophy of Umbrellas", "Alpine Diversions", and "The Day After Tomorrow"), and, lastly, "Beau Austin", a play in four acts. If you value and enjoy things relating to this noted author of such works as "Treasure Island", Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde", and "A Child's Garden of Verses", and especially if you possess this particular set, you might wish to update/improve upon your Volume Eight. There are, also, 1-2 Illustrations in light brown tint, both of scenes/localities in Grez. Thank you!!.
