Flowers on front cover with wide border, stone lantern on spine all in gilt. 1st edition, 'First published in 1912' appears on back of title page. Few small stains on covers, bumped and scuffed corners and edges. Spine ends are frayed, spine and edges of front cover faded. Top edge gilt, others deckled. Front hinge is cracked, but binding is still reasonably solid. Foxing of pages throughout, otherwise unmarked, clear text. Tipped-in color illustrations with tissue guard, first illustration at frontispiece is missing. This book discusses many of the aspects of Japanese gardens. A nice old book in Good or better condition.
