[1970], 1st edition. (Hardcover) Very good in very good dust jacket. 211pp. A card from a Toronto bookshop is enclosed with the inscription "from Margaret Laurence" on the reverse. This inscription has some similarities to other examples of her signature that I have seen, but is not a match. I am not convinced that this is her signature. Dust jacket has two small closed tears along the spine and some very minor chipping along the edges. The spine of the jacket is lightly sunned, otherwise the jacket is bright. Illustrations by taffan Torrell. (Fiction, Canadian, Fiction--Canada, Juvenile).
