Occasional thumb-marking present. Cracking to hinges with exposed binding, causing boards to be loose. Binding is shaky. Boards have heavy edge wear with bumping to corners and rub wear all over. Crushing to spine ends with small splits and fraying to cloth.Notable tanning to spine and edges. Scuffing and light marking overall.

Vol. 2 has heavier edgewear, especially at the bottom front corner, where the leather is worn through. The set is attractive and in extremely good minus condition overall. There is no publication date, but 1850 may be about correct.
