Black cloth covered boards with gilt titling to spine - all very clean and bright. Dust jacket in good condition with Phyllis Ginger's evocative watercolour on the front. Dust jacket clipped (yet still carries a Dent £2.10 net price sticker). There is a little chipping and splitting to the folds at the head of the spine - this area has been neatly reinforced with tape. Some light discolouration to inner surfaces of jacket and some very light soiling to rear. The Madeleine books of Mrs Robert Henry are very well known the world over. This volume tells us of Madeleine's days as a London shop girl working as a very junior assistant in a famous Regent Street department store. Book.
