Book First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. original cloth hardcover, illustrated, tipped in colour plates all present, 209 pages, very good. We are a real bookshop with real books situated in and shipping from the United Kingdom. Shelf B126.
Hardcover. 209p., presswork on somewhat acidic matte stock (introductory text, color-plate background) and glazed alkaline stock (b&w reproductions in a sizeable running text), a sewn hardbound in 12x8.5 inch black cloth boards gilt, enclosed in the dust jacket. Head-rim is sunned with color-loss, and there is an eighth-inch gap at the gutter between pp.12 & 13; we detect no actual weakness in the strength of fastening. Book itself is otherwise sound, and entirely clean and unmarked. The dust jacket was not so lucky, and is not only edgeworn but has ragged patches at all extremities. All in all, a good copy. The plates are rather chaste, the color repros are pretty, the b&w images are clear.
