Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition; 1st Printing. This book is in Very Good condition and has a Very Good dust jacket. The book and its contents are in mostly clean, bright condition. The text pages are clean, but noticeably toned on the endpapers and edges of the text pages. There is a previous owner's inked name on the front endpaper and the endpapers have toning to the edges. The dust jacket has edge wear, nicking and light rubbing, mostly to the spine ends and corners and there is some fading to the spine. This is the first Kat Colorado mystery by Karen Kijewski. "Kat Colorado's friend Charity Collins advises thousands of readers of her syndicated column, Consult Charity. She can't handle her own problems, though." "Kijewski was born in Berkeley, California, the daughter of University of California, Berkeley professor Clarence Glacken, and received B. A. And M. A. Degrees from UC-Berkeley. She was a high school English teacher in Massachusetts for almost a decade before dedicating herself to writing. A resident of Sacramento, California, she made a living tending a bar while establishing herself as a novelist. Kijewski is married and has two daughters.".

Hardcover first edition - First UK edition. Author's first novel - introduces Kat Colorado, and winner of the best first Private Eye novel contest in 1989 and the Anthony Award for best first mystery novel. This edition is of interest because of the error on the dj, where the author's name is shown with the middle initial "J" (not hers, according to Kijewski.) 232 pp. Fine in a fine dust jacket (as new.).
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. First edition 1st printing, Very Good book, produced with cheap paper that has age yellowed along page edges, pushed at top of spine, boards and spine were misaligned with the page block, so that the title on spine is shifted off-center toward the back board and a bit more at bottom of spine than at top. Result is that everything is slightly out of line if one examines the book carefully. Dust jacket is very nice, Fine minus with just a touch of light edge and corner wear. Kijewski's first book, inscribed on title page To Elaine, So glad to meet you with very best wishes signed by author and dated October 1989. Anthony and Shamus Awards winner. Signed by Author(s).
