Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. The dust jacket is complere, clean and unfaded, except for a light fadeing on the wpine. The edges of the jacker are worn and have several small tears. "Few questions in american history have stirred so much curiosity or provoked such extended disccusssions as that of the authenticity of the runic inscription on a stone found near Kensington, MN in 1898," writes the author. The Kensington Stone was dug up on the Olaf Ohman farm and purports to describe an expedition of Scnadinavians from Vinland to what is now Minnesota in 1362. The author was considered the greatest Minnesota historian--ever. However, there are new finds which not re-open the issue of authencity.
