Hardback. Condition: Very good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very good. 1st UK, 1st impression. The second and fourth books from the author's "Simon and Mag' series of children's adventure stories. Set between north Wales, Switzerland and Norway, they reflect the author's passion for mountaineering and his desire to introduce the sport to young people. 'Ladder of Snow' is very good with text block edges a little dull, a little staining to the front paste down, and a small ex-library stamp to the publisher's page. The jacket is also very good if a little creased and bumped to the extremities. 'The Pass of Morning' is a fine book in a fine jacket. Showell Styles was a highly prolific author of children's adventure stories, set mainly in a mountaineering context, a pursuit in which he also excelled. He also wrote a series of non-fiction books on various mountaineering topics.
