Les quatre premiers ont paru primitivement en 1775. Les tomes V, VI, VII ont paru en 1783, et les trois derniers en 1784, après la mort de l'auteur. Un tableau, souvent absent, dans le tome III, liste des vaisseaux du roi. Un second tableau de l'imposition dans le royaume au tome V, la plupart du temps manquant.
