Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Inscribed and signed by editor Mike Berliner, to legendary comedian and social commentator, Mort Sahl, on the first free endpage. Unfortunately, the book and dust jacket are both water-stained. The stain appears in the lower left corner of the book's first few pages. After that, the pages are clean but there is wrinkling to the lower part of the pages until around halfway through the book. The stains reappear near the end of the book at the bottom of the pages. The water stains are also visible, though faint, on the lower left part of the spine and the lower right part of the book's back cover. The mustard yellow cloth on the book's exterior covers and spine is clean. The book's hinges are secure and the book does not suffer from spine lean. It's cover corners are not bumped. The dust jacket is not price-clipped. The water stains are not visible on the exterior (visible) parts of the jacket but there is staining on the inside. The glossy surfaces of the jacket appear clean with light rubbing. There is a light crease in the spine and light wear to edges but no holes, chips or tears. Book and dust jacket will be bubble-wrapped and shipped in a sturdy box to ensure safe transit. Signed by Author(s).

Hardcover. Condition: New. 1st Edition. SIGNED and Perfect in protective shrink wrap as issued, Copy #208 of 225 copies of the Letters of Ayn Rand rests in a fine custom designed clamshell box with gold foil lettering hand-stamped onto European Iris linen cloth. Accompanying the book is a facsimile letter and addressed envelope of Ayn Rand written to husband Frank O'Connor in 1936 - her first letter of love. Letter in envelope kept in place inside clamshell cover with white satin ribbon as bow. Ayn Rand s surviving letters track the arc of her career from a budding playwright and novelist in the 1930s to an accomplished author of best sellers in the 1940s and 1950s to a philosopher and cultural commentator in the 1960s and 1970s. Collected and organized by editor Michael S. Berliner, the Ayn Rand Institute's first executive director, Rand s letters are consistently full of original observations, reflecting the force of her intellect and personality, as she writes to literary agents, editors, producers, publishers, directors, screenwriters, actors, journalists, intellectuals, other novelists, ministers, artists, political activists, attorneys, prominent businessmen, fans, and friends and relatives. "Here is Ayn Rand talking about everything under the sun," writes Rand s longtime associate Leonard Peikoff of these collected letters, "and now we have the privilege of listening in." Book #Cv2250. $485. We carry the largest selection of Rare, signed, and manuscript Ayn Rand in private hands on the planet!. Signed by Author(s).
