Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. A beautiful book with all gilt edges, bound in two leathers, pebbled boards and darker corners and spine with raised bands.all decorated in gilt. some edge and corner wear but a nice looking book. Not dated but a previous owners on front end page dates at 1870. well illustrated with beautiful steel engravings. Inside hinges have split in paper but holding well and binding is solid.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 2 vols. 766p total; 15p index. REBOUND. A set of two large hardcover books that have been rebound with plain black cloth spines and black boards. Very good condition. Edges lightly rubbed; small dent on side of volume 2's front board. Monastery stamps on endpapers. Some of the endpapers are tanned with age, and some of the engravings have faded slightly onto the facing pages of text. Otherwise, text unmarked and binding tight. The classic biography of the Virgin Mary, illustrated with lots of steel engravings. Both volumes measure approx. 11.25" x 9.25".
