Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. First Edition; First Printing. 156 pp. Previous owners name written in ink. The author of Desserts from an Herb Garden applies her cooking-with-herbs techniques to a collection of brunch recipes, which includes such fare as Apple-Sage Muffins, Raspberry-Mint Cooler, and Roasted Vegetable Galette. "Barrett's first book was Desserts from an Herb Garden, and there are quite a few recipes for baked goods and other herb-scented treats sweet enough for dessert in her new cookbook. But there are also recipes for Sage Buttermilk Biscuits, Lemon Verbena Waffles, and many other savory dishes for breakfast or brunch. Some call for more exotic herbs such as lime balm or banana mint, but overall there is a good balance between common herbs and those that may be difficult for non-herb gardeners to find. For most collections." Library Journal ; 9.10 X 7.20 X 0.60 inches; 156 pp pages.

Soft Cover. Condition: Good. First Edition. Rare material. First and only edition. Copyright 1979 by David Charles Craley. Moderate cover, corner, edge wear, rub, discoloration, spine crease. Pages very good. Bind intact. Solid near very good first edition. A vibrantly written time capsule of another time. Once a generation there comes a story so rare and beautiful that it changes people's lives. This is such a story. The saga of a man's faithful quest for a special love, a secret pavilion, a hallowed destiny. Profound implications for this time told in strokes of boldness and daring, passion and vision. Don't be tempted to dismiss this book because it was associated with The Way ministry as it represents some fine writing. David Charles Craley captures, perhaps unintentionally, key aspects and insights of the sixties' psychedelic scene in San Francisco and all around California. Fascinating without even tuning in to the story because it brings on such a strong sense of deja vu about how so many used substances at the time, in an attempt to change lives and influence the culture towards better things. Aggressive drug use was and is basically a dead end. The larger story line of the book relates to Craley's homosexuality and how he came to be delivered; which remains a controversial topic. The honest telling of this message still speaks loudly today. Printed in the United States of America. 354 pages. Insured post. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Book.
