About this Item: Penguin, New York, 1985. Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. Small stain (coffee?) to top half-inch of outside page edges. Wraps, while still glossy, are slightly warped, either from a damp atmosphere or from drying of spine glue as made. Considerable rub to spine edges, although -- all that said -- there is NO spine crease; book may be unread. Pages slightly & evenly age-toned. Signed by author in blue ballpoint, signature only, to the bio page which precedes the title page. "Living at the Movies" was Carroll's first book of poetry to be published by a mainstream publisher (Grossman 1973, originally.) Five years later, in 1978, he was to write his autobiographical "The Basketball Diaries," detailing his sexual experiences, his high school basketball career, and his addiction to heroin, which began when he was 13.
