Very cool 'layered' or debossed cover. I don't know how to describe. The cover-art obscures most of the copyright page, which is a part of the cover, sort of. Item Description: McSweeney's. Hardcover. Book Condition: Very Good Plus. "McSweeney's Quarterly Concern, Issue 41". McSweeney's. 2012. Hardcover. First-edition. First-printing. Condition: Very Good Plus. Small blemish to the gloss surface near the bottom of the spine. It has the look of being slightly marred by a sticker removal, but I bought it direct from McSweeney's shortly after publication; perhaps a production blemish; 3/4" x 7/8". **********Please contact for video link and/or a larger image set. Item Description: McSweeney's. Three volume ensemble. Book Condition: Near Fine. "McSweeney's Quarterly Concern, Issue 22". McSweeney's. 2006. Three paperbacks 'bound' in a hardcover folio. First-edition. First-printing. Condition: Near Fine. The adhesive on the barcode sticker has reacted with the cover material, discoloring the sticker, a common occurrence. **********Please contact for video link and/or a larger image set. The 'case' of the issue is a hardcover, but removable. 'Steel and magnet' binding. There is a strong magnet in the spine of the case. There is a steel bar in the spine of each of the three paperbacks. McSwnys did a very high quality job on the binding of this issue; far higher than average, IMO. Very cool design. **********Three paperback volumes make up Issue 22. ///// "From the Notebook: The Unwritten Stories of F. Scott Fitzgerald". Contributors include: Judy Budnitz, Salvador Plascencia, and Miram Toews. ///// "The State of Constraint: New Work by Oulipo". If you don't know Oulipo, buy this book, or least borrow it from the library. ///// "The Poetry Chains of Dominic Luxford: The poets pick ten more and so on. Or: Poets choose poets till we have fifty." Or: Ten poets pick ten more until there are fifty. Evidently they lost continuity of the sub-title, which seems a chain in itself (or an anchor). Perhaps there were fisticuffs. Or perhaps there should be. **********I make every effort not to overstate grade. Pictures, video, and description are as honest as I know to make them.
