Original full black leather binding with embossed blind-stamped decorations on the front and rear covers and a gold-stamped angel hovering over hearth, mother and child on the front cover with gold-stamped cupid and other decorations on the spine. We have re-dyed the scuffs to the leather and treated the binding with The Library of Congress formula for leather preservation to good effect. The pages are tight and clean with no marks, all edges gilt. Some age-toning and foxing to the title page and a few of the early pages. Name stamp on the front flyleaf. No odor.
