Covers have some rubbing and fading to cloth, with bumping to bottom corners as well as head and foot of spine. Covers are clean and unmarked. Illustrated DJ with white lettering is toned and appears quite worn, especially along edges; there is a small tear to DJ on head of spine. DJ fits snug to boards. Binding appears strong. Title page not dated. Copyright page dated 1940. 216 pages. Pages appear toned, but are clean and unmarked throughout.

Hardback. No Dustjacket. Bound in brown tweed binding with black tree and house design on the bottom right corner of the front cover and on the front and back endpapers. A Clean Beige Card pocket has been glued unto the back pastedown endpaper, but this appears to be a private owners doing as there is no other indication of any type of library marking to the book. The main cover illustration artwork from the original dustjacket has been trimmed down and glued to the front free endpaper. Owners name in ink on the edge of the front pastedown endpaper. Later reprint edition. Otherwise a nice tight sound unmarked copy in Very Good condition.
