1st US Edition, 14.3 x 21.3 cm blue cloth backed paper covered boards with black titles to the spine. [vi] 243[1]pp with a double page map by Ian Newsham. In original dust jacket with a $9.95 price. Signed and inscribed by the King to fellow writers John Rowe Townsend and Jill Paton Walsh on the front free endpaper. The book has been well protected by its dust jacket with just a touch of pushing to the foot of the spine and the merest hint of sunning to the very top and bottom edges. Internally the book is clean and bright with just the author's inscription. The dust jacket, which is now protected in a removable, clear cover (not shown), has sunning to the rear panel, spine and for a couple of centimetres on the front panel.
