Abgesehen von gelegentlichen Bräunungen (siehe Abbildung), sind die Tafeln des Werkes, die wir vorrätig haben, wohlerhalten. Der teils mehrseitige Beschreibungstext zu den Tafeln (der unter anderem die botanische Bezeichnungen der abgebildeten Pflanze in zahlreichen Sprachen aufführt wird jeweils mit geliefert. Nissen, BBI 349; Stafleu-C. 1091. - Illustration aus einem der meistgeschätzten pharmazeutisch-botanischen Werke des 19. Jahrhunderts, berühmt nicht zuletzt aufgrund seiner mustergültigen Illustrationen, für die die besten Kupferstecher und botanischen Maler Frankreichs engagiert wurden, darunter Turpin, Lambert, Lambert jeune, Poiret. - ENGLISH: Original color engraving with hand finish (leaf size app. 260 x 165 mm).
