Fine in about very good dust jacket, front panel of jacket has a short tear at the upper left edge of the front panel with a little paper loss at the top of the tear and a few nicks along the top edge. Now in mylar protector. Reprint with extensive introduction from a rare work first printed in 1879 in Cleveland. Malvin was born free in Virginia and migrated in 1827 to Ohio. There he took part in anti-slavery and civil rights struggles.
