Tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean. Water marks to boards and spine.

Includes a lengthy introduction by John Buchan and his commentary on the poems themselves. Blanchard notes that some copies were bound in maroon leather and this is one of those. These are much more scarce than the regular green cloth binding. i-xxxii; 1-547pp Maroon leather; gold lettering; top edge gilt. Very clean and bright internally. Name of front paste-down. Equally bright externally but the spine has faded slightly and there is wear at the head of the spine (common with leather bindings) and some rubbing along the spine hinges. A nice copy of a rare item.
