Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. Reprint. This was the first book in the Chez Panisse Cookbook Library, and was first published in 1982. This is an undated reprint. Designed and illustrated by David Lance Goines (I think "illustrated" is pushing it. There are a couple of decorative borders and a frontispiece drawing. That's it! Apart from the front cover.) There's an Introduction by Waters. Notes on Ingredients, a Bibliography and an Index form the end matter. Signed by Alice Waters on the half-title with a marker that has bled through to the frontispiece. Although a near fine, unread copy, there is a tiny crease to front cover and the foredge of the whole book is slightly wavy as if exposed to a damp atmosphere. Still a handsome signed copy.
