Soft cover. Condition: Good. Oversized softcover. Plain paper covers with an illustration of a reptile on the front. Thin dust-jacket of tissue over covers, with a large chunk missing from the top left corner. Title and copyright page dated 1945. Limitation page is stamped with the number 450. The introduction is 16 pages, followed by 68 plates. Some plates are in color, others are in a sketchy line-drawing style. All plates appear to be present. Text of the introduction and conclusion in French. The thin DJ is toned but the covers beneath are not. Corners are bumped. The binding is still fairly strong. Pages are lightly toned but clean and unmarked.

Soft cover. Condition: Good. Original printed wraps 17x24cm. 55pp Arabic text with b/w photos and colour folding sheet. This paper originally appeared in French in Annales de Geographie, No. 499 Mai-Juin 1981, pp354-380. It was translated into Arabic by Dr Muhammad Ismail Sheikh, Lecturer in the Geography Department at Kuwait University, and includes his introduction. Very good except for chip to the fore edge of p9 with very minor impact on text. Presentation ink stamp to title page. Part of a series of papers issued jointly by the Geography Department of Kuwait University, and the Kuwait Geographical Society. Its Editorial Board included the University's Head of Geography Dr Abdullah Al-Ghunaim, and KGS President Ibrahim Al-Shatti. They published papers of direct interest to countries in the Arabian Gulf, as well as more general and widely applicable studies. These were either prepared in Kuwait, or translated from other sources usually by Geography Department staff with a new introduction.
