II a scene of Washington, DC, where among many other accomplishments and failures he founded and was first president of the Gridiron Club, designed to be a place where politicians could be less adversarial ; binding firm; ochre colored boards clean with title lettering on bright gilt patches on front boards and spines; in absence of d.j., there is slight bumping and some rubbing, esp at crown of spine of Vol. II--which keeps this from being "very good."
