Some general slight shelfwear and the rear dustjacket cover, which is plain grey/silver is speckled all over in white - from ? Rubbing or adhereing to another surface ? But it looks uniformly 'pretty/patterned', and is quite attractive! . Apart form this, overall the wrapper is VG. 229 pp. With three b/w maps. The page fore-edges have some foxing spots/browning, but none internally. The 'Petrified Mariner' of the title is the author himself, who bought "an old motor fishing vessel, an Ex-Admiralty cutter 'Sanu', and set off on a series of increasingly ambitious (and adventurous) cruises - to Europe - France, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and later via Spain and Portugal to the Mediterranean."
