First Edition
Wraps. Condition: Very good. Peggy Fleming (Photographer) (illustrator). First. Unpaginated (32 pages). Photographs by Virginia Lithograph, published in a limited edition of 700. The soft cover book (measuring 8/12 by 9/12) contains a total of 13 photographs, each accompanied by a short poem by the woman depicted in the photo; each poem focuses on the feelings that the woman associates with the photograph. Each woman's text is her own, her chosen place or space or activity where she is comfortable, energized, centered, nurtured--a sharing of personal sanctuaries. Peggy Gale Fleming (born July 27, 1948) is an American former figure skater. She is the 1968 Olympic Champion in Ladies' singles and a three-time World Champion (1966-1968). Fleming has been a television commentator in figure skating for over 20 years, including several Winter Olympic Games. The photographs deal with music, painting, radio programming, praising God, writing, releasing one's real beauty, music, relaxing with old movies, writing poetry, relaxing away from household chores, snuggling with a loved one, and riding a motorcycle. This work was later expanded and issued by Three Sisters Press, Washington, DC. This signed limited edition of only 700 has become increasingly rare.
