About this Item: New York, McGraw, London Heinemann. Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Complete set of the Yale edition of the Journals of James Boswell in 14 Volumes, comprising 13 volumes of the Journals plus the Volume "Portraits" by Sir Joshua Reynolds which was published as part of the series because the manuscripts of these character sketches by Sir Joshua Renolds were found among the Boswell papers in Malahide Castle. This is a mixed set. Most of the volumes are from the American edition in half cloth while 4 volumes are from the English Edition in full cloth. Dustwrappers are present for many volumes but are generally not in good condition. 2 volumes are ex-library with minimal markings. Apart from these flaws, the books are clean and solidly bound. Not a collector´s item but an excellent working set. Publication dates from 151-1989. Very scarce as a complete set. Seller Inventory # 976
