Softcover. Condition: Very Good. Second printing, wrappered issue. Moderate edgewear with faint creases, very good or better. Inscribed by Simic on the half-title page: "Revisions. Charles Simic." Presumably the author was planning on issuing a revised edition (but no revised edition was subsequently published). Author's "Reading copy" as noted on the front fly, which has been corrected and annotated throughout (approximately 42 lines) in the author's red and black ink holograph. With three lengthy stanzas crossed out from the final poem, "The Chicken Without A Head." Several titles marked with a question mark, a letter X or a circle (likely signifying which poems to be read).
